Capture web pages in Mac

Capturas [Mac only] I've been catching web pages from the year of the pear and especially of my designs I keep copies of many of the things I've been doing since 1997 . There are many reasons for capturing web pages. In my case I use to have a history of design, to keep track of changes, to collect and study designs that I am and I call attention, to "catch" some curiosity, and so on.

On MacThere are multiple alternatives and applications so to make the article more direct and varied I will propose you six options that I use or have used in the past.

Browser: Safari / Firefox

Safariweb If you use Safari you can do two things: seizing the "Services" menu, now in Snow Leopard includes an option to capture a portion of the screen. Or print the page you're viewing as a PDF. In the case of Firefox thereseveral extensions that do the work, as Screengrab or FireShot but I always used the free version of Pearl Crescent Page Saver , which works very well .

Application: Snapshot

Instantanea An application that is included with all Macs and you'll find in the Utilities folder Applications. Besides this advantage allows you to capture from the keyboard, which I love. Many moons ago I wrote a guide with the keyboard shortcuts for screen capture all or a portion. It's something I use every day on many occasions and its effectiveness lies in its simplicity and speed.

Widget

: ScreenshotPlus

Screenshot Plus Screenshot Plus and Capture are not oriented to capture web pages, but almost anything you have on the screen, as are free, I have chosen. You can capture the entire screen, aportion, a window, among other options as well as choose the format of the resulting image. For those you use Dashboard much can be two interesting options that go beyond the snapshot application.

Application: Paparazzi

Paparazzi It is a very well known and almost a classic at the time of capture sites. It free , is simple to use and allows you to specify the minimum width and height, and choose betweenPNG, JPEG, TIFF or PDF as the output file. It can capture the page you're viewing in Safari. When you capture web pages "long" is one of the best options. You can download the latest beta (which works fine) here .

Application: Web Snapper

Web Snapper It's another classic in these matters. Although payment ($ 15) has quite a following and offers more or less the same options as Paparazzi. Integration withSafari, you can choose the output format, make catches multipage PDF, among others. I always hit it off payment, being so simple, but is a good option. It can be found here .

Application: LittleSnapper

LittleSnapper LittleSnapper is the jewel in the crown ". Stylish, functional, complete and with a concept that goes far beyond a simple "captured". It really is the"IPhoto catch, Because it lets you capture, store, catalog, classify, organize, edit, and share any capture. Includes integrated browser and has integration with Safari. I love, is the current use Although charges.
